In the middle of graduate school applications, I have had zero time to update. It feels as if I’m in school again! (And I totally miss the feeling.) But yesterday, Catherine and I had some time to take pictures.
This fall, I’ve been obsessed with plaid. It makes me think of Burberry, cold winters, and my favorite movie, Clueless. So of course when I found these pants at Topshop on my trip to NYC, I had to buy them.
I stole my sister’s gold Everlane blouse to wear with them, and I’ve decided I’m going to have to buy it in all three colors. The silk is thicker, softer, and more high-quality than any silk blouse I own–and the shirt is less expensive, too.

That blouse is beautiful! I’m really hoping to get the white or gray for Christmas. I’m glad it lives up to the hype.

It totally does. I really need to buy my own so that I don’t have to steal Kaki’s again!

I love that blouse–it is perfect on you! And I’m glad to hear such a positive review!
I’ve been eyeing the same but am a bit hesitant. I normally don’t gravitate towards menswear-inspired clothes–I just don’t think the silhouette works well on me and typically wear very fitted clothing. I’m afraid it will be big and boxy on me. What do you think?
I am a sucker for reasonably-priced quality clothes, especially silk. I only wish Everlane had a few more cuts!

Thank you!! (Catherine has told me a lot about you, and I just visited your blog and it’s wonderful!)
I’m actually a sucker for menswear inspired clothes. Catherine can tell you that I have as many pairs of pants as she does skirts! The shirt has kind of a boxy fit throughout the body, and the sleeves are only slightly more fitted, but that is the look I like! However, I think the silhouette would look good on you (from what I can tell from your pictures!).
I agree about wishing they had more styles–like maybe a pocket blouse or something. But one thing I really love about this one is the Peter Pan collar (which you can’t really see in the picture ^^;)

Thank you!
I asked Catherine for her advice too, and with both of your reassurance I bought the blouse. The collar was a major appeal to me as well–I’m going to have to stock up on sweaters to wear it under!

That silk shirt looks so amazing! I really want to order myself one, but I can’t decide on the color!

I knooow right? I am going to go with the gold first though, because I already have a navy and a white blouse. But I think eventually I’m going to have to get them all (if my budget will allow haha)
